A-Level Results - Summer 2019

Copthall delivers another year of impressive A-Level and Vocational results. There has been an impressive increase across the board with students gaining sterling results in the diverse subjects of Biology, Chemistry, English, Maths, Media and Psychology.

The rigour of A-Levels did not phase our students and they rose to the challenge and were thrilled to discover they had been awarded top grades in their A-levels with nearly 70% of students securing places at their first choice universities.  Nearly 24% of students will progress to prestigious Russell Group Universities.

• A*-A grades account for 18% of all grades compared to 9% in 2018
• A*-C grades account for 74% of all grades compared to 61% in 2018
• A*-E grades account for 100% of all grades compared to 94% in 2018

Copthall has continued to go from strength to strength which is evident in this year’s set of results.  Teachers and students worked extremely hard, embracing our school value of Aspiration to ensure that every student was able to fulfil her potential and leave our Sixth Form ready for future successes in a global workplace.

We are proud that we offer a curriculum in the Sixth Form which gives students the opportunity to study a range of appropriate courses.  This includes a number of vocational courses which also proved to be successful with the average result for all Applied General (BTEC) courses achieving a Merit Plus.
