Partnerships
Copthall and Mill Hill Schools Partnership
Copthall School boasts a unique cross-sector partnership with our neighbouring independent school, Mill Hill
Our Partnership with Mill Hill Independent School
The Copthall and Mill Hill Schools Partnership was formally established in 2018 with the view to enabling our staff and students to develop:
- Improved academic results
- An enriched educational experience beyond the curriculum
- Professional development opportunities
- Opportunities to engage with a community larger than that contained in the schools’ own walls
Since formalising our partnership both schools have already seen the benefits of collaboration which offers sustainable and continuous positive output for staff and students. Across schools we regularly:
- Share Governance and leadership skills and expertise
- Share Staff knowledge, expertise and resources to improve subject knowledge and pedagogy
- Share facilities to enrich the educational experiences of our students
As our partnership continues to go from strength to strength our priorities for the next two academic years are to:
- Continue to develop and embed the activities already in place across the partnership
- To collaboratively plan and run a cross partnership Mental Health and Well-being project which will include a Conference and follow up activities that are offered inside and outside of the schools’ curriculum.
- To forge closer links with key curriculum areas such as PE, Drama, Music and STEM to continue to offer students from across the partnership a range of culturally enriching experiences.
- To continue to reflect on evaluate the impact of the partnership to ensure that the benefits for both schools continue to be substantial and sustained in the long term.
Both Schools believe in the strength of our partnership and that by working collaboratively we can improve lives of all our students #bettertogether
