Manal Al Badry to represent UK Youth Parliament for Barnet
Posted on: 29/03/2017As a school we are proud to announce that Manal Al Badry in 10T has been voted as one of the two members of the UK Youth Parliament to represent Barnet. She worked incredibly hard this term to campaign within Copthall and other local primary schools, getting across her message that young people should have access to up-to-date technology and a broad and relevant curriculum in school. The UK Youth Parliament provides opportunities for 11-18 year olds to use their elected voice to bring about social change through meaningful representation and campaigning in their local area and the country as a whole. She will be supported to set up and run a project in Barnet that will serve the young people of the area, and also take part in a parliamentary debate in the House of Commons towards the end of the year. We would like to thank all students for their support and encouragement, especially her Campaign Team. She will endeavour to represent you well.
