GCSE History students visit Kenilworth Castle

GCSE history students finally got to visit Kenilworth Castle, which they are studying for their History GCSE course.  The trip had originally be scheduled for the summer of 2020, but then Covid got in the way.  We had the castle to ourselves, and were able to see the changes to the castle 900 years, and how it was deliberately destroyed after the Civil War in the 1640s.  The students were very well behaved, although some of them realised too late that bringing a warm coat might have been a good idea!
