A number of Year 10’s and Year 11’s were invited to the VISTRY GROUP’s main site in Finchley. The Vistry Group are a leading construction company in the UK. They build homes in the UK with a high majority being affordable for their clients. This was a great experience for our students, who modelled excellent behaviour and loved the chance to see how a major company operates. This was following a six week mentoring course which happened once a week every Thursday. Students were given the chance to speak to mentors from VISTRY, learn new skills, experiences and ask as many questions as possible about networking. The VISTRY GROUP then treated our students to a presentation where they presented the growing impact of females in construction. This was motivational to our students and many now have an interest in construction and have been made aware of all the possibilities and avenues they can enter the industry. This also continues our great working relationship with the Local Village Network who put VISTRY in touch with us.
