Careers Day and Fair 2017 - A Great Success!
Posted on: 09/10/2017We hosted our second Careers day and Fair on Tuesday 3rd October here at Copthall School. The day focused on professional talks from a range of influential women including Copthall Alumnae. They targeted their talks to Year 7 right up to Year 13 and gave students a personal insight into their professional lives, industries and career paths. Our speakers ranged from different fields including Finance, Law, Construction, Science, Engineering, Media, NHS, Volunteering and Social Enterprise. The fair was hosted by a wide range of Universities, Colleges, Apprenticeship providers and employers.
Both the careers fair and talks encouraged and motivated the girls to explore and research various career opportunities, courses and non conventional pathways through networking and hearing real life personal experiences from leading professionals.
During the day, Copthall students were able to register for apprenticeship and volunteering opportunities with the NHS, and other potential employers.
The day was buzzing and students asked engaging questions and were keen to find out more throughout the day! Look out for the link to the video coming soon...
The feedback from students, employers and teachers was very positive. On behalf of the School, Governors and our students we would like to thank all of our visitors for taking the time to enrich our students and provide them with a real insight into the world of careers opportunities.
