Year 8 Netball League

On Tuesday 6th October, our Year 8 team had a fantastic afternoon of netball, who competed in their latest round of league fixtures.

The team got off to an excellent start with a dominant 8-0 victory over SMSJ, showing some brilliant attacking play alongside a strong defensive performance to keep a clean sheet.

They followed this with another impressive result against MHCH, battling hard to secure a 4-2 win.

Copthall then faced a strong Hasmonean side, where despite working hard throughout, they were defeated 9-4.

The team responded brilliantly in their final fixture against Hendon. In a very close and competitive game, the girls showed great determination and composure to come away with a 2-1 victory.

That means Copthall finished the afternoon with an excellent three wins from four games, scoring 18 goals and conceding 12.

A huge well done to all of the girls for their teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship throughout the afternoon. A really positive set of results and plenty to build on as the league continues!
