Actress Ann Akin welcomed at Copthall School

Drama Department

On Wednesday 21st February the Drama department hosted a workshop organised by Ann Akin, a former Copthall student who has gone on to become an actress, she is about to star in JK Rowling’s new TV Series - The Strike series for the BBC. Ann also runs her own theatre company and was invited into Copthall to recruit students to take part in the One Barnet Many Voices Project- which aims to work with young people in Barnet to devise a piece of original theatre to be performed at the ArtsDepot later on this year. During the workshop the girls were discussing and workshopping ideas around mental health. We hope to welcome Ann back later in the year to discuss her industry and the suggested pathways to achieving in the acting and theatre world.
