Beauty Trip Experience on a Cruise Ship

On 9^th July year 12, beauty students travelled to Southampton to set on board the Royal Caribbean Ship “The Navigator of the Seas”, to experience life as a beauty therapist on board. We were lucky to have a private tour around the ship where we discovered an ice rink, theatre, crazy golf course, rock climbing and even a surf machine all on board the cruise ship, but the highlight was certainly the spa, gym facilities and treatment rooms. This gave us a real insight into how our working life could be, if we chose to work on a cruise. We had an exciting talk from an acupuncture therapist who taught us how acupuncture can help not only with pain but with depression and anxiety. We were very privileged to see the cruise ship as passengers were boarding to set off to Gibraltar.  I was amazed to see how I can be paid to work and travel the world at the same time!
