Paris - Performing Arts Trip

The Music & Dance departments are delighted to share with you the fantastic success of the Paris Tour 5-7 June 2024.

40 students from Y7-10 and 4 staff boarded a coach at 6am before embarking on a ferry from Dover to Dunkirk, then staying in accommodation 20 minutes outside Paris. 

Whilst the students enjoyed bowling on the first evening and the next day at  Disneyland Theme Park, the primary purpose was an inspiring concert given to an audience of 300 which lasted 1 hour.  Performing in front of an audience is a great opportunity to build skills and confidence, but also to learn how to engage and build a relationship with an audience during the performance.  Our students rose to the occasion and thoroughly enjoyed their celebrity status afterwards with lots of young fans. 

On the last evening, simple games on the field with staff and students alike competing and having fun was absolutely lovely.

Exhilarating and exhausting, this trip may well be the best 3 day trip of their school lives.  Enormous thanks to a committed, professional and fun staff team who joined me; Ms Fox, Ms Castle and Mr Myers.
