Copthall Sixth Formers - Pump It! to Success

On behalf of the Pump It! team we would like to thank everyone for their continued support. We have been overwhelmed with all of the support we have been shown throughout the competition process. We are so excited to share with you all that we made an amazing profit of £2,603.00 after costs and paying back our start up loan of £1,000.

On completion of the 'Tycoons in School' competition, we were informed that the Government is running an initiative that will match donations made to Water Aid 'UK Aid Match' hopes to bring charities, the public and the Government together in the hope of making a change to the lives of many.

Pump It! Water would like to announce that we will be donating a total of £2,030 to Water Aid which the Government will match. This means that a total of £4,060 will be donated to Water Aid’s 2030 challenge. This donation to the 2030 challenge will be used to build not one but two pumps to create a clean, safe water sources in two disadvantaged countries, and will hopefully show children who do not currently have it that it is apart of normal life.  Thanks to all of the support we have received from Copthall School, the staff, students, Governors and our wider community throughout the competition, we have all made this happen together!

Once again, on behalf of everyone at team Pump It!  We would like to thank you all for your continued support. The journey however is not over, bring on the results to see if we have made the final!  We also have an exciting project which we are looking at developing over the next few months, so we will of course keep you updated on our journey.
