State of the Art - Outdoor Gym

Over the Summer, Copthall School was very fortunate to have a state of the art outdoor gym installed within the school grounds.

The gym has a range of different stations which include leg, arm and core exercises.  The gym offers a range of low impact exercises that are non-competitive and fun to use, which we hope will encourage our students to build a healthy attitude towards exercise.

The school would not have been able to have this equipment without the help of  our Chair of Governors, Julia Blackman, who put the bid forward to Local Councillor Cllr Val Duschinsky who was then able to help  us to secure funding via Barnet Council.  We were delighted that they were both able to join us for the official opening, along with Evelyn Forde, Headteacher on  7th October 2019.

The equipment has proved to be very popular with our students at break and lunchtimes, and we hope it will continue to be so in the coming years.
